The Club's Field Day planning & preparation are continuing at a blistering pace!  The current plans call for the club to be operating in class "8A"... that is, 8 operating stations covering HF to UHF and multiple modes including SSB, CW, and digital.  There will be 4 generators running power to the network of operating positions... two @KW units, one 3KW and one 5.5KW generator.  Antennae include a blimp lofted end-fed zepp, several G5RV's, plus VHF/UHF antennae for earth-bound and satellite operation.  Two Boy Scout Troops will be participating, helping out with "grounds management" and even operating some rigs!  Advertising has been implemented and multiple Wayne County public service organizations and governmental agencies contacted.  The Field Day Committee, led by Mark Wheeler (KB2ULR), is doing a terrific job of efficiently organizing the event.  What's needed from the general membership is COMMITMENTS on help and operating schedules.  Much more to follow!  HGG
